NOTICE OF NEW LAND DISPOSAL
SYSTEM
The Georgia Environmental Protection
Division has received an application for
approval of a new sludge management
plan for land applying biosolids onto a land
disposal system. Having reviewed this
application, the Environmental Protection
Division proposes to allow biosolids land
disposal under the NPDES permit subject
to specific pollutant limitations and special
conditioner.
NPDES SLUDGE MANAGEMENT
PLAN
G. Heileman Brewing Company, Inc,,
P.O. Box 459, LaCrosse, Wisconsin 54601,
NPDES Permit No. GA 0002844, for its
facility located on Ga. Hwy. 247 Spur in
Perry. Approximately 400 tons per year of
biosolids generated as a result of treatment
of Tea production process wastewater is
proposed to be land applied on 120 acres
adjacent to the facility.
Persons wishing to comment upon or
object to the proposed determinations are
invited to submit same in writing to the EPD
address below, no later than thirty (30)
days after this notification. All comments
received prior to or on that date will be
considered in the formulation of final
determinations regarding the application.
A public hearing may be held where the
EPD Director finds a significant degree of
public interest in the proposed biosolids
land application system. Additional
information regarding public hearing
procedures is available by writing the
Environmental Protection Division>
A copy of the sludge management plan
application is available by writing the
Environmental Protection Division. A
copying charge of 25 cents per page will be
-assessed. The application, comments
received, and other Information are
