Perry High Class of 1945 gathers for covered-dish reunion

The Perry High School Class of
1945 met at the home of Lewis
and Joyce Bledsoe on Keith
Drive, Perry, on Aug. 8, for their
50th reunion. Thirty-five class
mates, spouses and guests enjoyed
a covered dish dinner on the com
fortable screened back porch of
the Bledsoe’s home.
Lewis Bledsoe welcomed the
group to their home and his wife,
Joyce, returned thanks. After a
delicious picnic supper, the class
retired to the den where they
enjoyed a video of their class
made by Bob Spencer, a classmate
who now resides in California.
The video covered their class
pictures from early grades up
through their senior year,
Professor Staples, Mrs. Coleman,
groups, cheerleaders, the basket
ball team and shots made at last
year’s reunion.
Class members present were:

Teal Lewis, Perry; Babe
Hunnicutt Jennings from
Perryan attends family reunion
Mr. and Mrs. James C. Lewis
of Springfield, Va. joined sisters
Pauline Lewis of Perry and Madge
Ricks of Milledgeville, at the
Lewis Family Reunion held Aug.
13 at Salacoa Creek State Park
along Ga. 156 E. east of Calhoun.
