garden set from Myfer's Farm Supply. Cody, along with about
50 others, entered a Name the Bird Contest at the store to
help store owners decide what to name their mascot Latino
bird. Cody's suggestion and winning name was Malcolm.

Hospital gets repairs
From Staff Reports
Things have cooled off on the
med surgical floor at Perry
Hospital.
Nadine Weems, administrator
of the facility, said a motor that
"had just worked so hard it finally
burned up and shut down" in an
air conditioning unit Aug. 16 has
been repaired.
Patients in the affected area
were moved to cooler parts of the
hospital.
The Houston County
Emergency Management Area
contacted Robins Air Force Base
about the problem.

staff and community for their
patience and help during this time.
"Everyone was wonderful, we had
such good team work from the
community and county."

City of Warner Robins
General Election Notice
A call is hereby issued to all registered voters of the City of
Warner Robins. GA for a General Municipal Election on Tuesday,
November 7. 1995 the purpose of the Election of three (3) mem
bers of Council being At Large-Council Post 2, District 4-Council
Post 4, and District 6-Council Post 6.
Qualifying for Council Posts will open 8:30 am on September 11,
1995 and continue until closing date September 15, 1995 at 4:30
p.m. Qualifying fee for Council posts is $198.00
The election will be held on Tuesday, November 7,1995 between
the hours of 7 am to 7 pm. The voting precincts are:
• Civic Center - For voters living in District 5
• Northside Senior High School - For voters living in District 6
• Northside Middle School - For voters living in District 4
• Russell Elementary School - For voters living in District 3
• Absentee Ballot Precinct - City Clerk’s Office, 700 Watson
Boulevard, absentee voting - (NO voting the day of Election)
If necessary, a run-off election will be held on November 21,
1995. The last day to register to vote for this election is October
10, 1995.
