May, 1996, The Petitioner filed in
Houston Superior Court a petition for
adoption of JAMEEL SPENCER JEF
FERIES in accordance with adoption
laws now in force in the State of Georgia,
and an Order for service by publication
on James Johnson was signed and filed
in said Court in said matter on the 21st
day of August, 1996.
THIS IS, THEREFORE, TO NOTIFY
THE SAID James Johnson and all inter
ested parlies that a final hearing on said
petition for adoption will be held on the
24th day of September, 1996, at 9:00
a m., in the Chambers of the Judge of
Houston Superior Court there presiding,

Applications for documents together with
deposit of SIOO.OO per set should be filed
promptly with the architects.
Bidders are cautioned that acquisition
of bidding documents through any source
other than the office of the architect is not
advisable. Acquisition of bidding docu
ments from unauthorized sources places
he bidder at risk of receiving incomplete
or inaccurate information upon which to
base his proposal.
Bidding material will be forwarded,
shipping charges collect, as soon as pos
sible. The full amount of deposit for one
set will be refunded to each general con
tractor who submits a bona fide bid upon
return of such set in good condition with
in 30 days after date of opening of bids.
One half of all other deposits will be
refunded upon return of complete docu
ments in good condition within 30 days
after date of opening of bids. “Good con
dition” is defined to require that docu
ments not have been taken apart or
marked in a manner which limits their re
use for construction.
Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump
sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for
a period of 35 days after time has been
called on the date of opening. Bids must
be accompanied by a bid bond made
payable to the Owner in an amount not
less than 5% of the base bid. Both a per
formance bond and a payment bond will
be required each in an amount equal to
100% of the contract price.
The Owner reserves the right to reject
any or all bids and to waive technicalities
and informalities.

Sealed Proposals for construction of
the East Bonaire Water System
Improvements - Elevated Water Storage
Tank will be received at the
Commissioners’ Board Room, Houston
County Annex, 200 Carl Vinson Parkway
in Warner Robins, Georgia until 10:00 A.
M., o'clock legal prevailing time on
Monday, September 23, 1996, at which
time and place they will be publicly
opened and read aloud. No bid may be
withdrawn after the closing time for the
receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60)
calendar days.
The work to be done consists of fur
nishing all materials and equipment and
performing all labor necessary to con
struct a 500,000 gallon elevated water
storage tank, lighting, altitude valve and
pit, foundations, and all incidental work
required for a complete installation.
The Work will be awarded to one con
tract.

upon deposit of SIOO.OO per set (non

Payment of the Contract Amount will
be made on a periodic basis on applica
tions for payment from the Contractor
and approved by the Engineer based on
work accomplished, products furnished
and products stored on the site. Such
progress payment requests shall be sub
mitted by the Contractor no later than the
25th day of each month during the term
of the Contract and shall be paid by t he
Owner within thirty (30) days after receipt
of approved progress payment requests,
less retainage and other deductions pro
vided in the Contract Documents. Further
details concerning the payment provi
sions of the Contract are contained in
Article 14 of the General Conditions of
the Contract Documents.
Bonds. All bids must be accompanied
by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than
ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The
Successful Bidder, if awarded the
Contract, will be required to furnish a
Performance Bond and Payment Bond,,
each in the amount of one hundred per
cent (100%) of the Contract amount.
The Owner reserves the right to reject
any or all bids, to waive information, and
to readvertise.
