Shriners plan fall barbecue
The Houston County Shrine
Club fall barbecue will be held at
the barbecue pits on Arrowhead
Trail (behind VFW on Corder
Road in Warner Robins), on Nov.
14. Serving begins at 10 a.m. and
ends at 5 p.m. at the pits. Cost is
$5 per plate. Plate includes 1/2
pound barbecue pork, bread,
coleslaw, chips, pickles, and cook
ies.

Daughters of the Confederacy will
meet this afternoon (Nov. 6) at the
Perry Library at 3:30 p.m.
Florence Harrison is president of
the chapter. Visitors and prospec

vocational services with Goodwill
industries of Middle Georgia was
guest speaker for the Oct. 29
meeting of the Perry Kiwanis
Club.
She told of how Goodwill
Industries of Middle Georgia is
helping transform lives through
programs directed to people trans
forming themselves into produc
tive, contributing members of our
community.
She said she hopes Goodwill
will be able to find at least two
adjacent available parking spaces
in Perry to serve as a pick
up/drop-off location for dona
tions
