The run-off is being held because the top vote-getter in the Nov. 3 PSC contest, Lauren “Bubba" McDonald, failed to get 50 percent of the votes plus one vote. Instead. McDonald got 49.6 percent of the vote statewide. James H. Cole got 42.1 percent, and James P. Kulslad got 8.3 per cent. The top two candidates, McDonald and Cole, will be on the Nov. 24 ballot.
