Hayley Greene named to CVB Authority
From Staff Reports
Haylev Greene has been named to
the Perry Area Convention and
Visitors Bureau Authority.
The appointment was made at the
April 20 meeting of the Perry City
Council by Council member Charles
Lewis.
Greene, a former president of the
Perry Area Chamber of Commerce
who now works for Flint Electric
Membership Corp. will fill the unex
pired term of Scott Moseley.
The council also approved a devel
oper’s request to make the U.S. 41
entrance/exit to the Perrv Middle
School a city street.
City Manager Skip Nalley asked
the council to consider the request
made by Northside Perry Ltd. The
developer will be responsible for
upkeep of the 412 foot stretch of road
for the next year.
At the same meeting the council
denied a request for an ingress and
egress easement on City property sub
mitted by Delta Equipment. Scott
Free had asked for the easement on
behalf of Delta, so that a short road on
city property could be used during a
construction process. Steve Howard,
city building official, advised council
that there were city pipes under the
road and that the road might not hold
up under heavy equipment.
Council also refused a request from
Ashley Pointe Town Homes for a res
olution authorizing long-term proper
ty tax reduction. Ashley Pointe offi
cials are proposing a development of
132 town homes on St. Patrick’s Drive,
