Gini English of The Heather
at Houston Take did double duty
in Washington, D.C. recently.
The main purpose of her trip was
to accompany her daughter,
Andrea English, who will receive
her master’s degree in cell biology
from the University of Georgia in
December. Andrea had been
asked by her professor to present
her extensive work in cancer
research at the International
Immunology Symposium.
The Continental Congress for
the Daughters of the American
Revolution just happened to be
occurring at the same time. Gini
was able to attend the opening
ceremony at Constitution HaD
and the Georgia Luncheon at the
Capitol Hilton Hotel. The duo
also found time to sightsee and to
dine in a city they loved which
still had some yoshino cherry
trees abloom.
