Harry Gordon is the most expeiienced DA in the State of Georgia. As an
elected official, Harry has twenty-eight years of experience prosecuting felonies
(murder, rape, armed robbery, aggravated assault, etc.). Harry’s assistants
average over seven years of experience in felony prosecution.
The March 2000 issue of the Research Review published by the Administrative
Office of Courts shows that, based upon the latest available figures:
Out of forty-seven DA’s offices in the State of Georgia, Harry Gordon’s office
ranks second in efficiency in the disposition of felony cases and is number
in any urban area.
The Athens-Clarke County Clerk of Courts' records reveal that:
Harry Gordon’s office won 87% of jury trials in 1998, 85% in 1999 and over
94% in 2000. Harry’s conviction rate is 7% higher than the national average
for urban areas and 15% higher than the average in the State of Georgia.
