The exhibit features a total of 101 works on display by 49 area artists. Cheri Wranosky's intriguing piece "Elizabeth'' presents a charcoal sketch of a sleeping child caught in a mixed-media labyrinth of dreams. Her "Farmer's Prayer" captures the agony of dirty drought-ravished clay sculptures crying to the heavens for aquatic relief. Michael Pitts' amusing steel and clay sculpture "Guard" stands tall with the postulation, "We know better but we don't necessarily know best" inscribed on his armor of clay. Classical art forms, such as Egbert Ennulat's stark oriental watercolors and Fr. Anthony Salzman's bold red and gold tinged paintings of the "Nativity of Christ," blend with newer forms, such as Ana S. Anest's large tie-dyed obelisk "Circling the Nexus" and P.M. Goulding's sprawling installation "Another Stream of Thought," a traffic of cast iron fish weaving through their rock highway. An intimate meeting hinted by bold black strokes and seductive blue and red splotches is found in A Bob Marable's painting "Susie Mae Grimes was a First Class Harlot." Watercolors are effectively used by Carol Downs in her serene "Mountain Scene" and by Bernie Roberts in his two captivating, shared-theme paintings "Wintergreen III" and "Dirt Farm." A diminishing candle and ripening fruit are captured in Victor Paul's composition 'Time is Running Out," whereas dark humor abounds in Nancy Bennett Evelyn's print "Read a Good Book Lately?" The OCAF Members' Exhibit runs through October 21. UNIVERSITY TOWER at the c a rn p u ££ The Place to Live Studios 1 Bedroom 2 Bedroom Penthouses All Furnished Leasing Now For 2000 & 2001 * 131 E.
