The 2011-2012 Flagpole Guide sports a distinctive cover
by Athens artist Jeff Owens, highlighted by an unmistakably
Owens-y owl—which Jeff reminds us is associated with the
goddess Athena, who lent our city her name, with academia—
without which we would not have our city—and with nightlife,
for which our city is so well known. There also happen to be

neighborhoods, not to mention our more rural reaches.
