The exercises at the Church of
Christ Sunday night were quite a

Master Glenn Hemmianger of Guy
ton is the guest of his grandparents,
Mr, and Mrs. L. R. Cason, while Mrs.
Hemminger is visiting her sister,
Miss Lee Cason, in At’anta. While cn
her way back to Guyton, Mrs. Hem
minger will stop over in Toomsboro
a few days, :

Last Wednesday night near Ste
phensville, Norman Billen was shot%
days last week with Mrs. Daniel.

bidden Pierce visiting his daughter,
and Pierce, in order to remove pa
rental objections once and for all,
obtained a shotgun and slipped to
the home of Billen, between suns,
and fired a load of shot info his
body, which ended his life.
Pierce has been captured and land
ed in jail, where he will have ample
time to meditate upon the foul ecrime
he committed.

STRIKERS USING FIREARMS.
Montgomery- Trolley Car Perforatsd
by Saveral Bullets.
Car 85, of the Traction Company,
at Montgomery, Ala., was fired on by
strikers, or sympathizers, Thursday
night. Five or six bullets hit the car,
one of which glanced and struck a
motorman, without wounding him. A
number of passengers were on the car
at the time.
