Miss Mytrle Brown of Gordon was

a party of five girls chaperoned by
Mr. and Mrs. P. F. Duggan started
to the mill only three miles distant.
At every huckleberry or blackberry
bush or plum tree on the way the girls
bounded out of the wagen so that it
was 10 o'clock when the party reach

—
Ah, uc —Big Sandy, Charlie's
Praises haven't reached the end.
For 1 am just now ready to begin:
Charlie’s crisis I am to reach,
And my doctrine to preach.
His praise I am to sing.
And it don’t hurt a thing,
But if you receive a sting
To Jerusha (let it ring).
Remember now, (Charlie I pursue).
And Charlie ain’t for you;
And Lazy Boy’s name you wish to
knew,
Too much for us, he's for Little Joe.
We have the promise of two picnics
at Danville, one school, one Masonic.
I’ll report later-
Some time ago two young men near
Danville resolved to participate in the
adulteration of snuff. This was suc
cessfully applied, but met with intense
sorrow. Can you guess the. unfortunate
young men?
Jertisha has the name of an old
maid who wishes to marry for love.
Apply at once. No objection to bache
lors, but widowers need not apply.
Yours,
JERUSHA.
