Couldn’t See The Game.
Four of our pretty girls were taken
out to a ball gawe Saturday after—
noon by the same number of ¢Hall
Room Boys”—the boys thinking
there was no admission fee. The
girls were awfully disappointed in
not seeing the game when the boys
learned that it would take ten cents
each to enter, But the boys toolk
them out to church Sunday, and
were heard to sing, “I’m so glad Sal
vation is free”—to the tune of “I
aint got no money but I will have
some.”
In Memory.
Os our dear friend, Mrs. ILiddie
Snow.
Itis with a sad heart~that we
write a few words dedicated to the
memory of our dear one.
Just fourteen months ago she was
married to Mr Jim Snow, and lived
a happy life until the 20th of dJune,
when a stranger voice than man’s
called her to her eternal home. She
leaves a father. mother, one sister,
six brother and a heart-broken hus
band and infant {o mourn her death,
but our loss is ker gain, She waz
laid to rest in Snow Hill lcemetery on
June 22 in the presence of many
weeping friends. °
She was obedient to her parents,
a kind sister and a loving wife and a
friend to all. lis hard to part from
one so near but there is one great
thought that lightens the burdens in
our h-asts, if we obey God’s will and
take up the cross and follow Christ,
we will meet her beyond the Pearly
gates of Heaven where parting is no
more. She was a daughter of Mr
and-Mrs M L Beck and loved by all
who knew her.
| She his completed her work en
carth and is a bright angel in Heav
!en. She united with the church two
lyears ago at Laurel Braach, and liv
ed a true member until God took her
arms are ten thousand times stronger
tlan ours,
May the Lord in Heaven bless you
and help you to meet her in the
world above, Weep not dear friends,
you will see her again where good
bye i: not known.
