here Tuesday.

past few days have caused consider

Miss Rossie Lindsey returned home

Rev 0 F Cook, presiding older of
the Macon Circuit, preached two very
interesting and uplifting sermons at
the Union Church here last Sunday
morning and evening.

Miss Annie Lindsey, of Atlanta,
is visiting homefolks here this week.
Miss Lollie Rutland, of Blaxley,
returned to her home Thursday after
visiting relatives and friends here
for several days.
Col J W Lindsey, Col J S Davis
and Mr J II Hoover went to Allen
town last Saturday in interest of this
county in the dispute between Twiggs
ai d Wilkinson over tie county line.
We understand that Wilkinson will
produce evidence sufficient to sustain
her right. The decision will be
made next Tuesday by the Secretary
of State.
Mr. Jas. G. Carlisle, formerly of
this county, has been promoted and
placed at the head of a new’ dep: rt
ment of the Central of Ga. R. R.
His friends here are watching with
admiration how his exceptional abil
ity as a railroad man keeps boosting
him to the top.

Messrs. Will Branan and E. W.
Lipford. He says he will be glad
