bars of the Court of Appeals and the

of Ap l eals at. New Orleans, Louisiana,
and the bar of tile Supreme Court of
tluj United States at Washington, D. C.
I will appreciate the support of every
citizen and if elevated to the bench I
will see that the business of the. courts
are attended to with dispatch, and that
the humblest suitor shall have every
right guaranteed to him by the laws of
the State.

trials and injunctions in the counties
where they originate so as to save at
torneys and clients expense and trou
ble.
4th—l will discharge the duties of
the office without fear or favor and
with courtesy to all and will enforce
the laws of our state.

ful business administration.

The engagement of Miss Sarah
Frances Thrash, of Greenville, and
Mr. Win, T. Dupree, Jr., of this city
has been announced, their marriage
to take place, tn June.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. James Andrew Thrash
of Greenville and is a very charming
and popular young woman.
Mr. Dupree is one of the best
young tnen of the city and is con
nected with the wholesale grocery
firm of Alsup & Williams. For a
number of years he was connected
with the City National Bank, only
recently resigning the position of as
sistant cashier do enter the whole

The annual examination for teachers’
license will be held in the office of the
County School Commissioner on the
17th and IBtn of June nsxt, and for
County School Commissioner on the
30th of June next.
The date has not yet been fixed for
the annual institute, notice of this will
be given as soon as Prof, Soule can ar
range the date as he has consented to
send his faculty to hold the institute.
All teachers are required to attend this
or some other. Failure to attend will
debar them from teaching.
