“Privatization projects
like this are a result of

within the Department of
Defense," said Col. Randy
Buck, Director of Public
Works for Fort Benning.
Flint Energies is not a
newcomer to military oper

base housing units and the
Museum of Aviation.
Flint also provides power
to Camp Darby at Fort
Benning.
Flint has launched 14
new programs since Janu
ary 1999, and expects to
make more expansion
announcements soon.

it." Worrall believes Perry is
a pretty city but the trash is
beginning to take a toll on
it.
Police Chief George Pot

forming a “teen traffic court
separate from the Munici

would do two things: save
parents money on insur

streets and on-ramps by
sentencing the teens to
trash detail.
Potter also said, “It might
even cut down on teen traf

Moving on to the issue of
adopting the final draft of
the Houston County Ser

council members’ concerns

delivery of services."
Council members decid

on the filing date. The new
deadline date is set for Oct.

The Houston County Ser

In other council busi
ness, the dedication of
Creekwood was discussed
and questions on whether
or not a plaque was order
for the dedication.
Tommy Morrison noted
that the Creekwood pool
was drained and “readied to
be filled."
The pool is scheduled to
be opened on Memorial
Day. Morrison said the
park was “fairly clean." He
noted that the picnic tables
were “locked down" to avoid
vandals from turning them
over, tand that the lights
were out in the pavilion
because “someone knocked
them out, breaking several
fixtures as well."
Council noted that the
surplus items sale they
recently held netted about
$18,000; however, they still
have surplus left. Council
recommended another sur
