Westfield construction program
nears completion with opening
of administration building
By Torey Jolley

Westfield Schools were all smiles as they
officially opened the new administration
and Elementary buildings on June 1. Dr.
Michael Drake, headmaster of Westfield,
said, "We now have a building that says
stop here and get your questions
answered.’"
The new building at the entrance to
Westfield Schools houses all administra
tion functions such as the conference
room, the headmaster’s office, and the
counselor’s office.
The administration building is part of a
51.5 million multi-phase construction
effort at Westfield. The effort began about
three years ago. The final building in the
current phase, a new field house for athlet
ics, is expected to be complete for football
practice in August. Drake said.
