Florida sign reads:
‘LITTERING IS unIAWFUL’
I like this sign we saw
recently beside the high
way in Florida. I also like
the new vacuum for litter
the city of Warner Robins
has purchased. 1 wish we
did not need such signs
and machines.
I wish everyone would
just stop littering. But until
they do. I wish the young
people in Perry would take
it upon themselves to tidy
up our town. Summertime,
when the livin’ is easy and
we’ve spare time on our
hands, is a good time for us
all to look arour A and pick
up.

Monday afternoon 1
came upon an accident
which had just occurred at
the intersection of Kings
Chapel Road and Keith
Drive. I think of young
Tommy Nipper every time I
stop there anyway. But this
day I spoke of him to the
young couple who seemed
shaken but OK.
t just goes to show how
dangerous that two-way
stop is. Folks on Keith
Drive need to look both
ways and then look both
ways again at that particu
lar intersection. Powers
that be, please make it a
four-way stop before we
have another death.

Many Perryans knew the late
Grant Heller as a skilled
welder and metal worker,
but few realized he was also a highly
original craftsman.
“Only his close friends knew this
side of Grant Heller," said Joe Gayle,
who is exhibiting a small collection of
Heller’s works at Antiques from the
Shed at 1139 Macon Road.
