Curious as young chil
dren are, they opened the
door to take a peek. The
snake turned toward the
movement of the door and
lunged at the children.
“That.s when Dixie
jumped in," the mother
said. “She Jumped in
between the children and
the snake and pushed chil

house."
As the mother tried to kill
the snake with the axe,
Dixie and Georgia, the fam
ily’s Beagle, kept barking.
Suddenly. Dixie jumped to
attack the snake, but was
bitten under the eye. The
mother finally killed the
snake and rushed Dixie to
the nearby vet. She is doing
well today.
“She’s a hero to me," said
the nine-year-old. “She
jumped between me and
that snake and she protect
ed me." That’s a scary story
with a good ending, thanks
to Dixie.

Initially, a family from
Cotton were aggravated
with their Miniature
Doberman Pinscher for
growling at their 21 month
old-baby. They scolded,
yelled at and spanked the
small dog, but he wouldn’t
stop.
It all started when the
mother took the baby to
the patio to play. She liked
to run between the shrub

she headed for her favorite
pathway, Chance ran in
front. Suddenly he
stopped, stood between the
child and the shrubbery,
pushed against her and
growled.
Every time the child tried
to step off the patio, the
dog growled at her. When
Chance growled the third
time, he pushed hard at
the child, causing her to
stumble backward away
from the bushes.
When the father roared
angrily at the dog, he dove
into the bushes. When the
little dog flew straight up
like he had been kicked,
then fell over backward,

To make a long story
