prevailing in Perry, Georgia, on August
31, 1999. for the Renovations. Modifica
tions and Additions to Lindsey Elemen
tary School located at 81 Tabor Drive,
located in Warner Robins. Georgia. At
the time and place noted above, the pro
posals will be publicly opened and read.

Application for documents together
with deposit of two hundred dollars
($200.00) per set should be filed prompt
ly with the Architect. Bidding material will
be forwarded as soon as possible. The
full amount of the deposit for one (1) set
of plans and specifications will be
refunded to each General Contractor
who submits a bona fide bid upon return
of such set in good condition within ten
(10) days after date of opening of bids.
All other deposits will be refunded
with deductions approximating the cost
of reproduction of documents equal to
one hundred dollars ($100.00), and ship
ping and handling upon return of same in
good condition within ten (10) days after
date of opening of bids
C&ntract, if awarded, will be on a
lump sum basis of the base bid to the
lowest responsible and qualified bidder.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of
35 days after time has been called on the
date of opening Bids must be accompa
nied by a bid bond in an amount not less
than 5% of the base bid. Both a perfor
mance bond and a payment bond will be
required iri an amount equal to 100% of
the contract price.
The Owner reserves the right to
reject any or all bids and to waive techni
calities and formalities.

Election Notice
Pursuant to the Charter of the City of
Perry, as amended, and the Georgia
Municipal Election Code as amended
through the regular 1999 Session of the
Georgia General Assembly, the election
of a Mayor and Council persons to
Council District 1, Post 2, Council District
2, Post 2, and Council District 3, Post 2,
for a term of four (4) years beginning
January 1,2000, shall be held under the
following terms and conditions:
Said election shall be held on the
Tuesday next following the first Monday
in November, to wit: November 2,1999.
In the event a runoff election is nec
essary, said runoff election will be held
on Tuesday, November 16,1999.
The conduct of the election or any
necessary runoff election shall be held
pursuant to the provisions of the laws of
the State of Georgia as enacted and
amended. Provided further, the Charter
provisions of the City of Perry Charter
arid amendments thereto shall be in
force and effect where same were not
repealed or modified by the laws of the
State of Georgia.
For the purpose of this election or
any necessary runoff election, the office
of the Houston County Board of Elec
tions at 732 Main Street, Perry, Georgia
is designated as the office of the munici
pal superintendent of the election. The
municipal superintendent and poll offi
cials shall be named and designated by
the Registration/Election Supervisor in
the office of the Houston County Board
of Elections.
Optical scanning equipment shall be
used for the conduct of this election or
any necessary runoff election.
The place of holding the election or
arm runoff olortinn chall ho in
the National Guard Armory in the City of
Perry, Georgia.
Each candidate for the office shall file
notice of his or her candidacy in said
office of the Houston County Board of
Elections on or before September 17,
1999 at 4:30 o’clock p.m. but not prior to
September 13,1999 at 8:30 o’clock a.m.
and a candidate for a council member
shall designate the district and post to
which he oi she seeks election. A can
didate for Council must meet the resi
dency requirements as set forth in Sec
tion 2.11 of the City of Perry Charter.
The hours of the election shall be
between 7 o'clock a.m. and 7 o’clock
p.m. on said November 2, 1999. In the
event a runoff election becomes neces
sary, said runoff election shall be
between 7 o’clock a.m. and 7 o'clock
p.m. on November 16,1999.
The qualification fee for Council Post
is $126.00.
Any person who is a resident of the
City of Perry and who is registered as an
elector with the Houston County Board
of Elections shall be eligible to vote in the
election or the runoff election. The Hous
ton County Board of Elections shall
cease taking application for registration
from persons desiring to vote in this elec
tion on the close of the registrar's busi
ness on October 8,1999. This notice rel
ative to application tor registration and
registration deadline is given in accor
dance with Section 21 3-123 of the Offi
cial Code of Georgia Annotated.

published in the Houston Home Journal
once a week for two (2) weeks beginning
the week of August 16. 1999.

Under and by virtue of the Power of
Sale contained in a Security Deed given
by Emory Aycock and Shelia Simpson
Aycock to Sears Mortgage Corporation,
dated March 3, 1989, recorded in Deed
Book 836, Page 458, Houston County,
Georgia Records, as last transferred to
Aurora Loan Services, Inc. by assign
ment to be recorded in the Office of the
Clerk of the Superior Court of Houston
County, Georgia, conveying the after
described property to secure a Note in
the original principal amount of Fifty Four
Thousand Two Hundred Eighty Seven &
No/100 Dollars ($54,287.00), with inter
est thereon as set forth therein, there will
be soid at public outcry to the highest
bidder for cash before the courthouse
door of Houston County, Georgia, within
the legal hours of sale on the first Tues
day in September, 1999, the following
described property:
All that tract or parcel of land situate,
lying and being in Land Lot 192 of the
Fifth Land District of Houston County,
Georgia, being know and designated as
Lot 2, Block A, Hillcrest Heights SubdM
sion according to a plat of survey pre
pared by Waddle Surveying Co., Inc.,
dated April 1959, and recorded in Plat
Book 5, Page 261, Clerk's Office, Hous
ton Superior Court.
Said plat and the recorded copy
thereof are hereby made a part of this
description by reference thereto for all
purposes.
The debt secured by said Security
Deed has been and is hereby declared
due because of, among other possible
events of default, failure to pay the
Indebtedness as and when due and in
the manner provided in the Note and
Security Deed. The debt remaining in
default, this sale will be made tor the pur
pose of paying the same and all expens
es of this sale, as provided in the Securi
ty Deed and by law, including attorney's
fees (notice of intent to collect attorney's
fees having been given).
Said property will be sold subject to
any outstanding ad valorem taxes
(including taxes which are a lien, but not
yet due and payable), any matters which
might be disclosed by an accurate sur
vey and inspection of the property, any
assessments, liens, encumbrances, zon
ing ordinances, restrictions, covenants,
