Two Perryans attempted to settle their
differences in public this week. Those inci
dents led to charges bv the Perry Police
Department.
Jeremiah Doane. 19. was charged with
aggravated assault Aug. 16. According to
the report Doane was allegedly in an alter
ation with Jeremy White. 18.
According to the report, filed by Officer
Hathcock, White hit Doane; in return
Doane tried to run over White with his
truck, hitting White with the truck's door.
The incident occurred at the Kmart on
Sam Nunn Boulevard.
Meanwhile. White was charged with bat
tery Aug. 16. According to the report. White,
allegedly, was in an alteration with Doane.

The incident occurred at the Kmart on

filed the report.
Other reports filed with the Perry Police
this week:
V Karen Hiclys of the Perry Animal Hos
pital, 633 Courtney Hodges Blvd., reported
someone stole a small sum of money from
the office cash box Aug. 14 between noon
and 8:30 a m. Aug. 16.
There were no signs of forced entry. Offi
cer Wilson filed the report.

Crossroads Methodist to show movie
Crossroads United Methodist Church
will host "Movie Night” Aug. 22, with a
showing of "The Ride", a new Billy Graham
film starring Michael Blehn and Brock
Pierce. The movie will begin at 6 p.m.
Paul Harvey endorsed the film saying.
"You will leave the theater haunted ever
more by a dynamite dozen words: ‘lt's not
how long you're on, but how well you ride.'"
The public is invited to the movie and
refreshments. “Veggie Tale" movies will be
shown for children while adults are watch
ing The Ride."

Leroy Leonard Sapp
The Rev. Leroy Leonard
Sapp, 71, of 135 S. Lake
Drive, died on Aug. 12.
1999, at his home.
Funeral services were
held on Aug. 14 at the Full
Gospel Lighthouse
Church, with burial in
Peny Memorial Gardens.
The Rev. Gene McKinney
officiated.
The Rev. Sapp was born
in Macon County and had
lived here most of his life.
He was a minister and
member of the Full Gospel
Lighthouse Church. He
was also a meat-cutter for
Food Max. He was a U.S.
Air Force veteran and the
widower of Maxine Sulli
van Sapp.
He is survived by his
sons, Steve Sapp of Perry,
Leroy Leonard Sapp Jr. of
Waco, Texas, and Robert
M. Sapp of Wetumpka,
Ala., 13 grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren.
