Norman Carter tells
some mighty good golf jokes
in his Pobiddy Joke Book.
Tommy Bolt, a great golfer
who had a terrible temper,
was playing in the Masters.
He was famous for throw
ing clubs.
He got to the 18th hole
and had a shot to the green
of about a hundred yards.
He asked his caddy what
club he thought he should
hit.
The caddy said, “Either
your two iron or four wood."
Bolt said. "But I'm not
but a hundred yards out."
The caddy replied, “I
know but that's all you
have left except for your
driver and putter."
Norman tells about play

with a very wealthy con

named Mr. Newell.
“One day we were on the

The reason behind the
aggravated assault of which
Brock Johnson, 19. is
being charged has not been
determined, though it is
assumed robbery was the
motive.
Johnson has a criminal
record. He had just been
released in May from a
rehab "boot camp" after
being sentenced in October
or November of last year to
serve a 6-year sentence due
to being arrested for "pos
session of marijuana with
the intent to distribute" and
"manufacturing marijua
na."
He had not been made to
serve the full sentence and
was put in boot camp for
this was his first serious
offense. He was released
from boot camp due to bed
space availability.
According to rumors, the
parole board which
released him basically
looked at his case number
and gave him an "early out"
for his crime was the lesser
of two evils.
They did not, according
to hearsay once again,
check into his background,
his mental, emotional, and
physical status. They saw
numbers, not a name.
He sits now in the Bleck
ley County Jail awaiting
punishment for this crime.
He can move around in his
cell and out in the "yard."
He eats three meals a dav.

“Norman. I'm going to get
me some new clubs." I said.
"Well, that’s fine."
The next time I saw him I
asked. "Did vou get the
clubs?”
He said, "Yeah, I bought
three."
said." What do you mean
you bought three? Why did
n't you buy a whole set?"
He said. "Well, I bought
Green Island, Ponte Vedra
and Hilton Head."
This guy was playing golf
so badly lie told his partner
he thought he would go
home and drown mmselt.
His partner said, “You can't
do that. You can't keep
your head down long
enough."
And finally, this young
girl went to take her first
golf lesson. The pro asked
her if she knew anything at
all about golf.
She replied. “I know a lit
tle bit. but I'm no Chrisey
Evert."
Good golfing, you golfers!
Hope your game is better
than mine.

People in the community
of Cochran and Bleckley
County and even the mid
dle Georgia area are angry.
Some have even offered to
give Johnson a "taste of his
own medicine." One resi
dent said. "I have three
words String Him Up!"
That's not the answer.
Educating ourselves on

Find out why someone
like Brock Johnson with a

"extraordinary mean" was
considered the lesser of two
evils and was let out of jail.
