Dear Patients and Friends,
Over the course of time we have seen many
changes in medical techniques as well as technol
ogy in the practice of medicine..but 1 have
learned from experience as a community physi
cian, that nothing counts quite as much as gen
uine concern and personal commitment to the
welfare of my patients.
During the past 25 years, I have recognized many
successes both on a personal and professional
level. I owe this largely to our excellent city lead
ership, our outstanding schools and religious val
ues that make Perry a town you want to call
home.
In closing, as I celebrate this special month, l
wish to say Thank You to my patients, my loyal
staff, colleagues and especially all the staff of
Perry Hospital. It has been, and will continue to
be a privilege being a part of this community.
Sincerely,
Providing Health Care Services in Our Community since 1974

Diabetes Mellitus
by Dr. J. Mathis Dixon,

Sties in themselves are a com

cal maladies, they may be related
to problems that are far reaching in
their causes and effects.
People who suffer from multiple
sties in their eyes, or who exhibit
frequent recurrences of these infec
tion-produced and often painful
abscesses should report the prob
lem to their eye doctor and/or gen
eral physician to rule out diabetes
mellitus.
Diabetes mellitus can predis
pose individuals to multiple and/or
recurrent infections of the eyelids.
