AT A shows off skills at the library
By KRISTY WARREN
HHJ staff writer
Recently, staff from the
Perry Library invited the
local American Taekwondo
Association school to show
off their skills.
The students preformed a
dual demonstration under
the leadership of Master
David Feldman, who is a
sixth degree Black Belt.
The 4- and 5-year-old Tiny
Tigers performed First, dis
playing their self defense
drills.
Junior Black Belts were
between the ages of 8 and
14. They performed as a
group and then as pairs or
individuals, demonstrating
a nun chuck routine and
sparring.
Some of the students
have been studying under
Feldman for up to eight
years.
ATA, accordingto Feldman,
strives to help each student
build a respect for others,
improve manners and to
become a better person.
The Perry ATA is located
at 229 Wespark Drive.
