Gallighan’s Ptlls, though useful for all diseases
Inch originate in a superabundant collectLn of
bile in the stomach, are more pat , cularly intended
for Fever and Ague. In the first ;>!•* re they cleanse,
strengthen and give lone to the no nach and bow
els, and create a new and healthy action through
out the system. They produce a natural and per
manent appetite; they defend the ;system against
new or subsequent attacks of tin; dFease; they
assist the various operations of nature by cleansing
the system of all vitiated, corrupt and acrid hu nois,
and thus invigorate and reanimate the whole fame.
Possessing a purgative quality, they cannot remain
in the bowels to pioduce such other diseases as
often follow the injudicious treatment of the fever
and ague. They are composed entirely of vegeta
ble matter, and may be taken 1 y[persons of both
sexes and of all ages, without the least danger of
unpleasant consequences. In fine, the public are
assured that Gallighan’s Pills possess those inesti
mable virtues, which are requisite;not only- to ar
rest, but to eradicate and destroy (the last seeds of
this most distressing malady of thjs human family.
The proprietors solemnly p’edge ’themselves that
they do not contain a particle of minerals in any
shape or form, but are composed entirely of simple
vegetable substances, which either separately or
combined, and withou 1 regard to sex er age, are
perfectly harmless in their effects upon the human
system. . i \

ANTI-BALSAMJC GONORRHOEAL SOLUTION,
Warranted to cure in Five Day*.
I' lIIS incomparab'c and invaluable remedy so
long known, and used with such unpanalieled
success in the Canadas for the last 30 ycats, ap
pears to nerd no panegyric. Its operation upon the
human system is such that it invariably acts like
a charm, for the relief and radical cure of a certain
common and disagieeable ‘-ills the flesh is heir to.”
This prize obtains its own name from the certain
1 success which has attended it through all of its
; trying circumstances, namely, “five days,” —the
1 same success which followed it in a Northern lati
. tude still obtains in a more Southern. The formula
l or recipe was obtained at great expense, intrigue
r and hazard by 11. Cheveves, from the celebrated
1 Indian Chief Wabenothe, or Great Moon, whilst
’ he, with others was pursuing the lucrative Fur bu
> siness in the North-west with the Indians. —
Wabenoshe prized highly and use it with invariable
} success throughout his two tribes. Its known and
valued virtues have a’ready enriched to an a'most
incredible extent the children of this warlike prince,
not only' by actual sale of the article itself to in
’ dividuals, but by parting with copies of his receipt
| at enormous prices to the Chief of every tribe of
Indians in America, with a solemn promise to the
r Great Spirit, never to divulge the‘‘art of its com
, position until he sleeps with his fathers,” although
free to use it in their respective tribes, which
places it in the hands of every Indian who rely
with, I may say, religious confidence on its cura
ble powers.
Below is a copy of the translation as near as it can
f be anglisized of the deed given by Wabenoshe, to
M.Cheveret, when he purchased the original recipe,
and had twice assisted the Chief himself through
the tedious manipulatory process of manufacture.
Few white men -would credit the length of time
which is consumed in preparing the article for im
mediate use.
TRANSLATION.

This Medicine,! wanrnt by this publication, un
der a penalty of $5,000, not to contain one parti
cle of corrosive preparation. It is purely' vegeta
ble in its essences. Its first and prominent virtue
is to subdue every vestige of inflamation, and then
acts mildly and copiously as a diuretic ; thereby
holding within itself, every requisite virtue, for
the subduction of this loathsome malady—and ev
ery regular graduate in medicine, will sustain the
assertion, that copious diuresis and reduction of in
flation, are the only two tilings necessary to effect
a sound and radical cure
The most peculiar virtue of the “Cinq Jours,”
is in this, that wherever it alone has been used to
ailed a cure, none of those tenacious and disagree
able consequences which almost invariably results
from the sudden cure of Gonorrhoea, have been
known to obtain such as stricture, hernia, humoj
alis, incontinence, and a swarm of other of the
most loathsome, perplexing, and disagreeable dis
eases, consequent upon erroneous diagnosis and
treatment of Gonorrhoea.
Those affected are requested to call and try for
themselves. If the prescriptions are wed foliow

returned.

an a mined fact that this cornpianit, whether called

the Nervous Headache may rest assured that this

in my rather extensive practice lor several years, and
if y«u think it wouid be lo your advantage, I can

ouedays. My present duel object m writing to
you, is to learn who is your authorised agent in this

k HESE Pilis are no longer among those of doubt-
I ful utility. They have passed away from the
hundreds that are daily launched upon the tide of
experiment, and now stand before the public as
high in reputation, and as extensively employed in
all parts of the United States, the Canadas, Texas
Mexico, and the West Indies, as any medicine tha>
has ever been prepared for the relief of suffering
man. They have been introduced wherever it was
found possible to carry them ; and there are but
few towns that do not contain some remarkable
evidences of their good effects. The certificates
that have been presented to the propiietor exceed
twenty thousand 1 upwards of hve hundred of
which are from regular practising physicians, win;
are the most competent judges of their merits.
Often have the cures performed by this medicin
been the subject of editorial comment, in Virion
newspapers and journals; and it may with truth be
asserted.that no medicine of tiie kin 1 has ever re
ceived testimonials of greater value thin are at

Dr. Peters —Dear Sir, By request of j'ouragent,
Mr. Harrison, 1 send you a few lines respecting tiie
almost miraculous effects of your piPs; and I would
add, that you may make use ol them, in connection
with my name, in any manner you deem proper, 1
speak of their merits from cxpeiience,as 1 and my
family have taken upwards of thirty boxes in three
years ; and so great are the benefits we have receiv
ed from them in general, that 1 would rather pur
chase them at ten dollars a box than have my house
without them. I will not enumerate the afflictions
| they have relieved us of; but 1 can assure you they
! were many, and of very opposite natures, which
j has fully proved to me that your medicine isasim
j pie purifier of the system, and therefore equally
j the enemy of every disease. I will mention one
j 1 have a sister who had been for a long pc
| riod severely afflicted with dropsy in the chest and
was brought by it to the very verge of the grave.
She was attended by the most eminent physicians
that money could procure ; but all their efforts to
restore her to health, or even to mitigate her suffer
ings were fruitless ; and accordingly, we all consid
ered her immediate death as inevitable. By good
fortune, however, as she was in this situation, ex
pect ngevery day to be her last, your pillo were
I introduced into ray family, and so speedy and pal
pable were their effects that three doses visibly re
lieved her, and in less than three months she was
perfectly restored to health. This case, 1 and all
who were witness of it, (butmore especially the
suffering party,) considered to be the next thing to
miraculous; and yet 1 could mention many more
of an equally desperate nature, in which your pills
were equally successful in rescuing the patients
from the jaws of death. Need I add that the popu
larity of your medicine amounts to enthusiasm in
this section of the country ? But this 1 presume
you know from the immense quantity you dispose
of I may mention, however, that notwithstanding
its general use, 1 never heard an individual complain j
of its effects. My r residence is 12 miles from i>ai- j
eigh, on the road to f ayetleville. 1 am, with sen
timents of regard, your ob’t servant.

To Dr. Peters, —Sir—For upward' 7 of fifteen
months, 1 have been cruelly afflicted with Fever
and Ague; and during the time could had nothing—
though 1 had applied to every thing that gave me
any thing like permanent relief. At length, how
ever, your pills were recommended to me, by one j
of our best pliy sicians, and 1 arn most grateful and
! happy in being able to add, that 1 had scarcely used j
i two boxes when 1 found that they had restored me
to perfect health, bonce then, various members of
; my family have used them with equal success—
| and consequently 1 feel it my duty to apprise 3ou
j of the fact, and to request of 3'ou to publish this
1 certihcate, as I arn anxious to add 103- public testi
