A letter from a gentleman in Edinburg,
(Scotland) to his correspondent in Tren
ton, states, that “ the BOX made of the
oak that flickered the great Sir William
Wallace, after the battle of Felkirk,”
which was presented by the Earl of Buchan
to the late General Walhington, with a re
quest that he would pass it, on the event
of his decease, to the rnoft deserving cha
racter in this country, but wich was re
turned to his lordlhip, is now in the hands
of an American gentleman at Edinburg,
for the purpose of being transmitted to
DoCtor Rufli, of Philadelphia, agreeably
to his lordlhip’s determination.

gufta, in Geogia; it is probable the said
Hotfe may be offered for falc somewhere
to the southward of this in some of the
towns, or poflibly in the upper country.
The above reward will be paid upon
profeenting the thief or thieves to con*
vision, or ihould information be given
to the Subscriber, by post or otherwise,
so that the said Horse may be recovered
again, a reward of Twenty Dollars, with
all reasonable charges will be paid, by

execute his bond under seal, to Pierce
Nowland, wherebj he bound himfelf in
the penal sum of on 1 hundred pounds ster
ling, conditioned to make good and
lawful titles to 2>o acres of land in
Wilkes county, on the waters of Little
river, and on Rca< y creek, whereon the
said Harkins then 1 ved, which said bond
