sky, and in order to secure it, directed the deed t<>
be mode over to her brother, Bobert Rogers. Mrs.
Johnson is S sister to Bobert Rogers and Mrs. Alex
ander. Mr. Alexander became addicted to tbe use of
ardent spirits, and was very contrary. He threaten
ed harsh meaeuree against Mr. lingers, unless he
made over a deed of the property in dispute to Mrs.
Johnson. The deed was so made out to be held in
trust for Mrs. Alexander. But by au error the deed
wee written out transferring without condition the
pr perty to Mrs. Johnson. 8hortly after Alexander
was dying, and then he wanted the deed made over
to hto wife property, no that her rights might be se
cured. But Mrs. Johnson, although she acknowl

which she claims by reason of the alleged error.—
The decision will probably be r-udered to-day.

Every city has among its population, men distin

and to such men must every city bo indebted for its
prosperity. Prominent among the business me
this city, and honored alike for their integrity
enterprise, is the dry goods bouse of Phillip

established their claim on public confidence. It has
been their desire to build up in Atlanta an eiupori.
where all lines of goods could bo obtained at as r

have now the satisfaction of seeing their efforts
