foreign-made Waltham watches have been
imported by a dealer in that city, under

He represented the people of his county
who had subscribed 820 shares,
but they were trammelled by
restrictions and conditions, that he
did not feel justified in voting. He
stated that the citizens of his county
were enthusiastic for the road until very
recently, when it became positively
known that the Air Line would be com

to the many instances of a mother’s
devotion. .She was at home alone
last Friday, says the Press and Her
ald, when a negro woman oaoie run
ning into the house, with the inform
ation that Mrs. Moore's little son,
three years old, had fallen down the
well. Mrs. Moore ran to the wall and
looked down into it just iu time to
see her child disappear under the
water. Without, a moment’s hesita-
tation the brave lady grasped the well-
rope and went down twenty-four feet,
to the surfai-u of the water, and grap
pled in its depths with her flvt £>r
the child. .She found hint and drew
huu with her feet iu the top of tile
water, then holding ou to the tope
with one hand, end, placing her feet
in the crevioes of the rock well, she
worked and labored over her babe
until he revived and her husband

the following reply and statement, much
