SUNDAY DECEMBEE 7, 1873.'
nil: SI M1AV KMtVIRKR.
It is not necessary to cqII our HtibHcri-
hors’ nltontion to the splendid serial,
ii'iuiH Macon, commenced in this issue of
tho T’.n.^'iukr. Our readers must appre
ciate the fact that while we have not in
creased our charges, wo make every effort
nml spare neither time nor money to give
the Knquirei: a high standing as a news
and literary papor. Wo desiro to make
our journal n credit to Columbus, and we
n-.li tho co-operation of our frionds in sec
onding our efforts. Head tho iirospcctus
on tho fourth page, and send the Sunday
Enquirer to your friends.
Tin: press of matter on our columns
prevents our publishing to-day the admir
able curtain lecture of Bill Arp, and itn
model, “Swift's" steal. They will appear
next Sunday.
Wic assorted, whon our exchanges were
jubilating over pcaco between this coun
try and Spain, that thoond was not reach
ed by the Fish-Polo protocol. Our des
patches convince us wo woro right, and
tho ond will only come by breaking the
link Unit binds Cuba to Spain.
