road, which the railroad commissioners
were in begin Wednesday morning, haa
been pnatponed.
The letter received yeslerilay from
Austin Branch, attorney for Hon.
Bowdre Phlnlij'. stating that Mr. Phln-
isy declined to make the trip under
present circumstances, caused thla de
cision on the part of the commissioners
Tuesday morning.
In accordance with the request of Mr.
Phlnlsy for n speelal hearing, the com
mission fixed It for March II at 10

and also officials of the Georgia Rail

ranging from 3300 to 31.700. The max

carriers.

Suddenly at His
Residence.
Robert D. Hickok. aged (ft year*, waa
found dead In bed Tuesday morning at
the residence of hi* eon. Robert D.
Hickok, Jr. Mr. Hickok had suffered
with heart trouble for some time, but
his death waa a surprise to all who
knew him. He retired In what seemed
the beet of health Monday night. Mr.
Hickok was born In Ohio, coming to
Atlanta about seven years ago. Ho
was a veteran of th* Civil war. Th*
funeral arrangements have not been
decided. Mr. Hickok la survived by on*
son, Robert D. Hickok, Jr., who Is con
nected with the Crankshaw Jewelry
Company.
