IN JAMESTOWN’S SUCCESS
BY CHARLOTTE STEWART.
The women of Georgia have played
an important part in making their
state exhibit at the Jamestown Ex
position a success. Mrs. Aaron Bun;
Steele, chairman of the woman's com
mission, and the members of her com
mission have ably co-operated with
Governor Terrell and W. Norwood
Mitchell, chairman of the Georgia com-

upon the splendid work that has been
done. , .
The Georgia building Is modeled aft
er the Bulloch home, at Roswell, On,
Its great colonial columns, its broad
porches and even its Interior decora
tions being exact reproductions of
* those of the old home. Tables, chairs,
sideboards and other pieces of an
tique furniture, formerly the property
of Mrs. RoosevelL have been loaned
by the present owners. When the
president makes his address It will
bo from the steps of the old Bulloch
home, which have been carried to
Jamestown for that very purpose. At
the breakfast to be given In his honor
the floral decorations used at his moth
er's wedding will be reproduced and
the same menu served.
No state in the Union is so rich In
resources as Georgia, and the exhibit
at Jamestown is one of which her sons
and daughters may well be proud. The
exhibit Includes a geological display,
one of mineralogy, showing the rich
ores In which the state abounds, an
educational display, showing Georgia’s
advantages in that line, and a magnlfi-
. cent exhibition of agricultural prod
ucts. One of the most interesting dis
plays will be that of the valuable his
torical relics, which the women of
Georgia have worked so hard to col
lect. —
