FRIDAY MORNING
A meeting of the Fulton county grand
Jury will be held Friday morning at 10
o'clock. June 21. There are a number
of bills awaiting the action of the grand

Planter Assassinated While
at Work in His

Eatonton, qa.. June IS.—While alone,
plowing cotton yesterday afternoon
near his home, Robert F. Adame, a
prominent farmer was killed. Five shots
were fired at him; only ono took effect,
striking him In the bock and emerg
ing from the chest. After being shot
he started home, but fell within a
hundred yards of his house and ex
pired. Just before he died, Adams
Bald: “Albert Jones shot me.” Later
Albert and Harris Jones stated to the
posse which arrested them that Porter,
their brother, did the killing and after
he was arrested Porter Jones made a
similar confession. Albert and Porter
Jones were arrested and lodged In Jail.
The vordlct of the coroner’s Jbry was
that death was caused from a pistol
•hot In the bonds of Albert or Porter
Jones. The commitment trial will take
place In a day or two.
Adams leaves a wife and two young
children. \
