A pretty affair of Wednesday morn
ing; was the marriage of Mis* Annie
Yarbrough to Mr. Cleveland Webb, of
Lawrenceville, Go., which took place
at half after 10 o’clock, at the resi
dence of the bride's parents, Mr. and
Mrs. J. J. Yarbrough. 433 South Pry
or street. Promptly 'at the appointed

lor to the strains of Mendelssohn'**
wedding march, beautifully rendered
by Mr. Ed Manning, -of Marietta, Ga.,

The only attendants were Miss Ina
Sturkey. of Texas, maid of honor, and
Mr. George K. Bagwell, of Lawrence-
ville, the groom's best man.
The bride wore a traveling suit of
blue broadcloth with hat to match, and
carried a shower bouquet of bride's
roses and valley lilies. The maid of
honor wore a green cloth suit with hat
to match and carried white carnations.

Mr.-Webb Is one of the best known
and most popular young men of Law
renceville, holding the position of cash
ier of the bank.
The popularity of this young couple
was manifested in the display of nu
merous and handsome presents, con
spicuous among these being a handsome
chest of silver, the gift of the bride's
parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Webb left at noon for a
wedding trip to Jacksonville and Palm
peach, Fla.
There were a number of out-of-town
guests present, among these Dr. and
Mrs. J. V. Davis, of Montlcello, Ga.;
Mrs. E. D. Hllderbrand. of Swansea,
S. C., relatives of the bride, and Mr.
and Mrs. Webb and Mr. and Miss
Webb, of Lawrenceville, relatives of the
groom.
OLD MAIDS’ CONVENTION.
Thursday and Friday nights, Decem
ber 5 and 6. "The Old Maids' Conven
tion” will be the attraction at the
HemphUI Avenue Methodist church for
the benefit of the North Atlanta Bap
tist Christmas tree fund. A number of

Huntsville. Ala., Dec. 5.— Mr, Thom
as H. Hopkins, of Birmingham, and
Miss Ida Pryor Floyd, of Mudison,
were married Wednesday afternoon In
the Methodist church of Madison. The
wedding was attended by a large num
ber of people from Madison and Mor
gan counties. The bride Is a grand
daughter of John Buchanan, a former
governor of Virginia, and Mr. Hopkins
Is a grandson of William W, Bibb, the
first governor of' Alabama. Mr. and
Mrs. Hopkins will be at home In Bir
mingham after December 15.
