Bagwell and L. W. Arnold, concerning the
respective merit! of the eyatema employed

of Shorthand and the-Southern culminated
Friday morning In a ault for $10,000 dam

Tledeman, in answer to the petition
of the beSoto Hotel for a revocation,
of hi* order canceling the license of the
hotel company, as a result of their con
viction In police court stated that In
view of the fact that the owners of the
hotel claim the whisky was sold by the
.bartender without their knowledge and
not under tbe DeSoto license, he will
recall hi* order of cancellation, pro
vided the president of the hotel com
pany and Its manager affix their name*
to warrants charging the bartender
with conducting a blind tiger.
Now tbe bartender. It la understood,
has left these Immediate parts, and Is
reported to be In Atlanta.

c.; yesterday placed a revolver In hts
mouth and killed himself, Just after a
postofflee inspector had walked Into the
store where Huntley conducted busi
ness and began to ask him questions.
What passed between the two men Is
not known. Huntley had been suffer
ing from melancholia for some months,
and hie friends had been apprehensive
last he should attempt some rash dead,

as the cause of Huntley’s state of mind.
