that to accumulate that vast sum he
must trample on the heads and heart
of his fellow creatures. But the trust i

have brought more misery, ruined more

more straight men crooked and de

"The Virginian." which comes to tho

most genuinely Aim rlcan drama that
we have ever had. Its Western char

comprises n series of adventures that
could happen in no country hut ours,
and the whole forms a picture of the
dawn of civilisation In one of our
Western territories. The novel has
been tremendously successful, and tho

To The Editor of The Georgian:
A large uudience of Atlanta's most
cultured and appreciative music lovers
attended the Hlerfiens-Glles concert ut
the Grand opera house on Thursday
night lust. Each member of this com
pany Is an artist of the highest class,
and the rendition of each number pro
voked prolonged and deserved Applause.
It was indeed n rare treat throughout,
and Immensely enjoyed by ail those
capable, of appreciating good music.
However, i was unfortunate on this
t»ct avion fn having a seat near a very
ft
iu, nnu nnere i am quite
sure they wodld be highly entertained,
and it Is on Decatur street, and Is called
the Star.
Wouldn't it be a good plan for tha
ushers to be required to keep a look-
out for these unrefined, inappreciable,
uncultured "ignorants"? who* disturb the
nice people who are entitled to be al
lowed to enjoy a performance, and re
port' such disturbers to a policeman,
who could ask them to be quiet or re
tire? There should be some relief.
I hope all those who this cap fits will
get a box seat every night at the Star—
only fifty cents each~where their con-
splcuoslty can better be displayed, and
where they will find birds of a like
feather unto their own disgusting
selves.
