1 Having heard that Sherman’a Lozenges were good fur a i
i cough i tried a few boxes of them, but they had not the 1
I least eff el on me. I then called iu the best physician in the !
! place, who a tended me a few mouths, but without sue |
| cess; I then saw au advertisement in one of the eify
I papers of Wislar’s Balsam of Wiki Cherry, ot which I j
pur based three bottles, at thetortieT of Fulton and Nn»-
; suu atre- ls, but I could uot perceive t e least beneficial i
i effect from it. ou the contrary I think it was a great in
jury to ml 1 . Sihorily alter using u 1 commenced raising
blood in large quantities; 1 Was taken down sick and
court -ed to the bouse for three mouths, during which
time I lost my appenie and f 11 away very fast; I was
then iud iced to consult Dr. Curtis of New V ,rk. (one of
the best jihysiciaus in the city,) but he could do me no
good. I again become worse, and was cumined to the
■ bouse all lust winter and spring, aud I gave up all bone of
ever getiing any better, as 1 again raised blood and* my
cough Was v ery severe, together with a pain in my brea.-l
and under the shoulder blade. My friends now gave up
all bopeof my recovering, and thought every day was ;
the last. About this time I beard of your BALSAM OF i
LIVERWORT bring good, fur consumption, hut ! was i
like many others, and was fearful that it might bearegu- |
lar humbug; I however finally consented to try it, as I
thought it could make me no worse. My brother th n
purchased a bottle of it at 375 Bowery, N. V. aud 1 com- |
tnenced t iking it, and by the tint 1 bad used one bottle
full i could sleep all night, and in the morning 1 had an i
appetite for my breakfast. I still keep on taking it and |
find great benefit from it—the pain iu my breast is entire
ly gone, and f raise no more blood. Within the last two I
months I have gamed in weight six pounds aud much in 1
strong li. I would therefore advise all who have any
afi'e.c ion of the Lungs or Liver to try the Genuine Dr. j
Taylor’s Balsam of Liverwort, for I truly believe it to
bethe best remedy iu existence for diseases of the Lungs
or Live-. Should any one doubt the tbove statement re

I will convince them of its virtue.

GALVANIC RINGS
AND
MACVETIC FLUID.
remarkable invention. Which has received ihe
; JL almost universe! approbation of the medical pro
fession of Great Britain, comprises an entirely new ap
plication of Galvanism, u» a remedial agent, by means of
w Inch the ordinary Galvanic La t> rms. Electric and Mag
netic Machine*, &.c.,are cu'irely dispensed with, and the
mysterious powers of Galvanism applied without any
ot the objections which are insuperable from the geno
j n.l mode now m use. The strong du-es. and at irregu
lar intervals, in which Galvanism is applied by the Ma
chines, has been pronounced, at* era lair and impartial
i trial, tobe oecuDedly injurious, and it wa» to remedy
tiiis radical defect, that this new application was pro
j jected, which after unceasing toil and perseverance, has
I been brought to its present state of perfection. The
Galvanic Rings answer all the purposes of the most
| expensive Machines, and in many other respects are
more safe and certain in accomplishing the desired
effect.
The Galvanic Rings, ued in connection with the
Magnetic Fluid, a e confidently recommended in all
D SORDERS WHICH ARISE FROM AN ENFEEBLED UR UN
heathy s’atl or the nervous or vital system, and
these complaints are among the most painful and uni
versa! to which we are subject. They arise, w ithout ex
ception, from one simple cause—a derangement of the
Nervous system—and it was in these cases that other
“ remedies” having so often failed, a new agent was
greatly needed, which it is confidently believed, baa
been found in the proper and judicious applicatiou of
Galvanism.
The Galvanic Rings have been used with entire suc
| cess in all cases of Rheumatism, acute or chronic, ap
, plying toihe head, face orlimbs : Goer, Tic-Doloreu.x
i Toothache, Bronchitis. Vertigo, Nervous cr (Sick

I Stiffness if Joints. Spinal Complaints, Kumbago.
; Neuralgia, Nervous Tremors, Dizziness of tub
Head, Pains in the Chest andSide.General Debili
i ty. Deficiency ot Nervous and Physical Energy,
and all Nervous Disorders. In cases of confirmed
i Dyspepsia, which is simply a nervous derangement of
i the digestive organs, they have been found equally suc-
I cessfuV. Their extraordinary effects upon the system
; must he witnessed to be believed, and as a certain pre
ventive for the preceding complaints they are equal
ly recommended. The Rings are of different prices,
being made of all sizes, and of various ornamental pat
i terns, and can be worn by the most delicate female without
1 the sliedile.-t inconvenience. In fact the sensation is
i rather agreeable than otherwise.
The Ualvanlc Kelts, Bracelets, Bauds, -
Larlers, Necklaces, Ac.
In some cases of a very severe character and of long
i standing, the power as applied by the Galvanic Kings
i is not sufficient to arrest the progress of disease and ulii
niatelv to restore health. The unproved modification in
' the Galvan c Celts, Bracel ets, &c„ entirely mm
i dies tuis objection ; any degree of power that is required
cun readily he obtained, and no complaint which the
| mysterious agent of Galvanism can effect will fail to ho
I permanently relieved. These articles are adapted to the
1 waist, arms, wrists, limbs ancles or any part of ihe body
with perfect convenience. The Galvanic Necklaces
i are used with greater benefit in cases of Bronch.t is or
affections of the throat generally ; al.-o in cases of Ner
' vous Deafness; and with almost uniform succe.-n as a
j preventive for Apoplexy, Epileptic Fits, and similar
1 complaints.
Christie’s 3laguellc Fluid.
Is issued in connection w ith the Galvanic Rings, and
all their modifications. This composition has been pro
nounced by the French Chemists to be one of the most
j extraordinary discoveries of modern science. It is be
lieved to pos.v s& a remarkable power of RENDERtnc the
Nerves seiisitlve to Galvaimc actioh, by these means
j causing a circulation of the influence at the seat of dis
ease, and thus giving rapid and permanent relief. No
othercomposiiion in chemistry is known to produce the
same effect or to impart a similar property to the nervous
system by means of an outward local application. The
Magiietic Fluid contains nothing capable of rite sliirfit
i esl injury, its application is agreeable, and it is harm)?**
in its action as it is beneficial in its result. Full expluua
■ lions and directions accompany it. The combined in
veiitions are in every way perfectly harmless; they am
at prices within reach of all. and tee discoverer only re
quests a fair trial, as a test of their surprising efficacy
I and permanent benefit.

These ar’icles form another valuable application of
I the mysterious influence of Galvanism. arc an
| important adjunct to the genuine Galvadic Kinds •ml
their modifications, acting upon the same principle, but
i having this advantage of more local ap plica ion. They
| are confidently recommended as a valuable addition in
i the speedy cure of Rheumatism, acute or chronic ; in
; all nervous complaints, and as a positive remedy incases
of Pain and Weak-e.-s i the Chest or Back, Pain in the
, Side, in Aslhm i ic Affections, and in Weakness or Op
. pression of the Pulmonary Organs. In Spinal Com
plaints; their effects are of the mo.-t decided character,
1 and they have often been used with complrt* success.
They are also of the greatest advantage in Pains and
Weakness of the Breast, and are highly recommended
for many of those complaints to which lemales aro
especially liable. As an effectual means for
in«r the system when debilitated with disease or olhor
causes; as a certain aid in Constitutional Weakness, as a
Preventive for Colds and in all affections of the Chest
