thereby first affected, as being the most
tender parts, and after these corrections
are produced, commonly called the Tar
tor of the Teeth, which, destroying both
their texture and witi’eness, not only

unit renders the Gums livid and putrid,
and offensive to ourselves and others.—
But though people in general may pre
vent those inconveniences, by care and
attention at first, vet, if they are onci
suffered to lake place, it is no longer in
tht power of ihe sufferer to remove them,
this being properly the province ol the
experienced Dentist, who hath made the
maladies of the Foeth and Gums, with
their attendant evils, the principal object
