On yesterday morning nine car loads of excursion

Aldergian McDuffie moved that he be found guilty.
He was found guilty without any evidence being in
troduced in his absence and was discharged.
Thus closed perhaps the most remarkable trial that
ever occurred.
On motion the Council went into an election for an
overseer of the chain-gang.
The election resulted in the choice of George Stew
art.
