nt the bearish liiforutallon.
Atlanta, June 22.—The produce bual-
ness hag ahown flret eigne this week
of summer stagnation: Henna, squashes
and cabbage have glutted the market
until there la no aale at any price.
The recelpta of five or si* cara of
new potatoea has depressed the price
on thia commodity. However, we do
not look for thla condition on new po
tatoea to laat over a week. Old pota
toea have been In vary Utile demand,
and what stock la on hand will proba
bly be taken up the coming week.
Pineapples have been plentiful and
prices remain stationary aa quoted.
Georgia watermelons have made
thtlr appearance In the market, and
we look for reasonable prices to pre
vail from now on with large consump
tion.
Rockford cantaloupes are coming on
the market, which means a good varie
ty of cantaloupe, which will sell at
good prices.
Strawberries are getting very scarce,
but dewberries are coming In plentlftll
supply, the fruit being of excellent
quality.
Egg pricee remain stationary and
quality good. Friers, hens and other
live poultry have been very plentiful
this week with pricee ranging as
quotsd.
We look for a sluggish market the
coming week on general line of vege
tables. Fruits, however, will be In
food demand; and Georgia peaches will
be coming In In liberal quantities; also
watermelons, cantaloupes, pineapples,
bananas, etc./and prices will regulate
cn these according to supply.
