ANTI-TRUST.LAWS
Bonaparte Calls Attention
of Congress to Need
less Delays.
Washington, Dec. 3.—In his anual re
port to congress, presented today, At
torney General Bonaparte calls atten
tion to the enormous delay, expense and
trouble brought about by the Inability
of the officials under the anti-trust
and Interstate commerce laws to act.ln
furnishing legal proof of facts which
are perfectly notorious, and which are
merely formally denied to compel the
production of such proof.
He recommends that the law be so
amended that a bench warrant of any
United States court bo effective any
where within the United States. He
calls special attention to peonage pros
ecutions which are the subject of a spe
cial report. He wants better salaries
for assistants and a new building for
his departments. >
Remarkable Rescue.
That truth Is stranger than fiction
has once more been demonstrated ln
the little town of Fedora, Tonn., the
residence of C. V. Pepper. He writes;
I was In bed, entirely disabled with
hemorrhages of the lungs and throat.
Doctors failed to help me, and all hope
had fled, when I began taking Dr.
King's New Discover}-. Then Instant
relief came. The coughing soon ceased;
the bleeding diminished rapidly, and In
three weeks I was able to go to work.”
