fll V\ E heretofore labored that my cotton gins
should be thought superior to any manufac
tured in Georgia. By offering to the public such
an article 1 have been liberally patronized, for i
which 1 feel grtcful. 1 have warranted my fine
gins. 1 have never had one returned as not com
ing up to what I promised. It is known I have, |
; and do promise that uiv gins make superior cot
ton. 1 have no travelling agents, 1 rely on mv ;
j gins telling a better talc for me,and one that will
be sooner believed than a travelling agent; in i
j short, 1 hope to make mv y ins sell themselves. 1
feci confident in staling that I have made valua
ble improvements in line gins, and that i shall
hereafter furnish an improved gin to anything
heretofore sold. I would also inform citizens of ;
Warren, Washington, Wilkes. Columbia and
Burke counties, that 1 have purchased Simpson’s
l improvement for band inacbineiy, and those who (
| purchase my gins in the counties named will have |
the use of the patent Dec; the material, when de- j
I sired, will he put on the head block, free ot charge.
1 It will require a small outlay of material on the
! band wheel, which will tie furnished at the lowest
possible rate, and which, win n used, reduces the
draft loan astonishing extent; the character of
the improvement is simply by propelling the ma
chinery by a slack band, instead of a tight one.—
My finest Friction Holler Gins arc sold al £3 per
saw.
My plain gins are also greatly improved, and
wifi be sold according to kind, from jjji'i to jjrJ 50
per saw. My finest gins hu\e heretofore sold
higher than other gins, an I yet, heretofore, 1
have not been able to supply the demand, whilst
1 have been unable to sell but few plain gins.
Orders or letters, addressed to me at Sparta,
will lie promptly attended to, and gins delivered at
purchasers’ residences, free of char r e.

Sura/iuah, ]\Torch 10 tk, I S IT. — Ibe under

noticed the superiority of cotton, received from
those planters who use gins manufactured by G.
