DeKalb County Board of Education
(the “Owner”) at the Sam A. Moss
Service Center, 1780 Montreal Road,
Tucker, Georgia 30084, until 2:00 pm
local time on Thursday, June 7,
2018 for ++ITB No. 18-752-040, for
Asphalt Paving, Striping & Over
lay Services.++ The Owner shall not
consider late bids.
Scope of Services
The DeKalb County School District
invites qualified vendors (here and
after called “Contractor”) licensed by
the State of Georgia or authorized to
transact business in the State of
Georgia, to submit bids to perform
asphalt paving, striping & overlay ser
vices on an as needed basis. The
purpose and intent of this bid is to es
tablish a term contract for asphalt
paving, striping & overlay services to
support the DCSD Facilities/Mainten
ance Department and CIP SPLOST
Program.
The ITB document and will be avail
able Thursday, May 10, 2018, and
may be obtained from the DeKalb
County School District website at: ht-

MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFER
ENCE
A mandatory pre-bid conference will
be held in the Stokes Conference
Room at the Sam A. Moss Service
Center, 1780 Montreal Road, Tucker,
Georgia 30084 at 10:00 a.m. local
time on Thursday, May 24, 2018.
All attendees of the pre-bid confer
ence will be required to register.
Proper registration requires that the
attendee has signed his or her name
to the official roster and listed the
name and address of the company
her or she represents on the official
roster no later than the designated
start time of the pre-bid conference.
Bids submitted by bidders who have
not properly registered and attended
the mandatory pre-bid conference
shall be rejected as non-responsive.
Bidders are advised to register
early as anyone arriving after 10:15
am will not be allowed to particip
ate in the bid process.

SIDEWALK INSTALLATION
Tucker-Northlake Community Im
provement District (TNCID) is accept
ing sealed bids from qualified firms
for the ++Lavista Highway (SR 236)
Sidewalk Installation project++ in
conformance with Title 32, Chapter 4,
Article 4, and Part 2 of the Official
Code of Georgia Annotated. All work
will be done in accordance with Geor
gia Department of Transportation’s
(GDOT) Standard Drawings, Stand
ard Specifications as standards and
specifications, unless otherwise
noted, for the construction and com
pletion of the work required. All bid
ders must comply with all general
and special requirements of the bid
information and instructions en
closed herein. Work required under
the Contract includes demolition,
grading, sidewalk and pedestrian
ramp installations, sign and utility re
locations and related work tasks.
The project shall be Substantially
Complete within 90 calendar days
from the date of issuance of Notice to
Proceed.
TNCID will receive sealed bids until
4:00 PM on June 1st, 2018 at Re

Bids shall be presented in a sealed
envelope with the bid number

AND ONE (1) COPY (PAPER) MUST
BE SUBMITTED. Bids will not be ac
cepted verbally, by fax, or email.
Award will be made to the vendor
submitting the lowest responsive and
responsible bid. The TNCID reserves
the right to reject any or all bids and
re-advertise, to waive any informalit
ies or irregularities and to make an
award as deemed in its best interest.
The written bid documents super
sede any verbal or written prior com
munications between the parties.
The bid submittal shall also include a
bid bond in the form of a certified
check or cashier's check in the
amount of five percent (5%) of the
total bid, made payable to TNCID,
Georgia. The selected contractor will
be required to submit a one hundred
percent (100%) performance bond
and one hundred percent (100%)
payment bond.
TNCID requires that a minimum of
12% of the contract amount shall in
clude DBE participation. DBE firms
must be GDOT qualified.
TNCID does not discriminate on the
basis of disability in the admission or
access to its programs or activities.
Any requests for reasonable accom
modations required by individuals to
fully participate in any open meeting,
program or activity of the TNCID gov

O.C.G.A. § 16-13-49 (b).
