YOUNG PEOPLE'S MISSIONARY CONFERENCE.
The date for the Young People's Missionary
Conference for the South is July
2 to 11. The burning of Kenilworth
Inn at Asheville, N. C., the former
meeting place of the conference, will not
interfere with tne carrying out of the
strong program already arranged. The
Conference will be held at some other
convenient place, perhaps Montreat, N.
C., on the above date. It is hoped that
a large and representative delegation of

will arrange their plans to be present
at the Conference. The movement assures
the delegates that every provision
will be made for their comfort, and that
full announcements will be made at an
early date of the program for the Conference

THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE
PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH IN
THE UNITED STATES.
The Forty-ninth General Assembly of
the Presbyterian Church in the United
States will meet In the First Presbyterian
church in Savannah. Ga., May 20,
at 11 a. m., and will be opened with
a sermon by Rev. W. W. Moore, D. D.,
Moderator of the last General Assembly.
The undersigned will be in the
lecture room of the church. May 19, at
8 p. m.; also May 20, at 9 a. m., for
the purpose of enrolling commissioners.
Stated Clerks of Presbyteries will please
forward to the Stated Clerk at Clarksville,
Tenn., their Statistical Sunday
school, Societies, Systematic Beneficence,
Narrative reports, and response
to the Assembly's overtures, together
with all overtures and other papers for
the Assembly, if they can do so, on or
before May 13; otherwise forward to.him
at Savannah. The statistical tables
should be mailed to the Stated Clerk as
soon as prepared, and by all means in
advance of the meeting of the Assembly.
Hease notify the chairman of the local
Committee of Arrangements, of the
names and addresses of your commissioners
and alternates as soon as appointed.

forward overtures and report time and

ALABAMA.
Eutaw: Dr. D. Clay Lilly spent an
evening recently with this church, delivering
his interesting and helpful lecture
on "Christian Stewardship."
Ensley: The yearly report from this
church shows an enrollment of 325 members
and 529 Sabbath school pupils. This
churc^ has under its care a mission
which is rapidly growing.
The dedication of the Wylam church.
North Alabama Presbytery, took place on
Sunday, April 25.
ARKANSAS.
Called Meeting, Washburn Presbytery:
In accordance with the provisions of the
"Form of Government," Par, 79, a special
meeting or the Presbytery of Washburn
is called to convene in the First Presbyterian
Church, Fort Smith, Monday, May
10, at 4 o'clock p. m., for the purpose
of considering, and if the way shall be
prepared, of issuing, the following matters
of business, to wit; 1. The resignation
of Rev. J. E. Wiley as superintendent
of Home Missions and Evangelist
of Washburn rresbytery; and his request
for a letter of dismission from this
Presbytery to the Presbytery of Central
Texas. 2. Any other business made
necessary by his removal. 3. Acting
upon the call of the Springdale Church
for the services of Rev. Wm. H. Morrow
as pastor. 4. Giving full consideration to
any and all of our Prpshvtprv'e Hnmo
Mission aggressive work, and of concluding
any measures pertaining thereto
that may appear to he wise.

GEORGIA.
Atlanta, Central Church: Rev. Dunbar
H. Ogden will be installed pastor of
this church on June 6. The Presbytery
has invited Rev. G. B. Strickler, Rev. T.
H. Rice and Rev. R. A. Webb to take
part in the service. Dr. W. L. Lingle
will preside and propound the constitutional
questions, Dr. Strickler will
preach the sermon, Dr. Rice will charge
the peop'e, and Dr. Webb the pastor.
?Pryor Street Church: A series of
services is being held in this church
conducted by Rev. A. A. Little, pastor
of Westminster Church. This church
has recently changed its location; the
former property being sold and a better
lot purchased. Plans are being laid for
