WESTMINSTER SCHOOL
Richmond, Va.
This school, under the guiding hand of
Miss Carrie Lee Campbell, has grown
and developed year by year in a most
gratifying manner. Everything needful
for a girl's best development may be
found here; the almost ideal home life,
the refining and elevating Christian influence,
and the work of specialists in every
department, have made the school strong
and attractive.
Parents may well afford to investigate
Westminster.
DR. RAYMOND AND PARTY RETURN.

Synodical College, at Holly
Springs, Miss., and his wife have just returned

by a number of ladies, who went
with them on their trip. They traveled
via the Canadian Pacific route, visiting
oi. liuuis, ociini raui, oaim. i^eggan, liiacier,
Seattle, Victoria, Tacoma, Yellowstone
Park, Salt Lake City, Manitou, Colorado
Springs, and many other points of
interest. They report a grand trip. Dr.
Raymond will open school September

enrollment for many years past.
PRINCETON THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY.
The students of Princeton Theological
Seminary will have every opportunity to
learn what preaching is and how to do
it, next session. Besides the regular instructions
in Homiletics, and an unusually
large amount of practical training
in the art of preaching, at the hands of
so experienced and successful a teacher
as Prof. Ferdinand S. Schenck, D.D., of
New Brunswick, a great treat has been
prepared for them in a supplementary
course of lectures on preaching by President
Patton. As a preacher himself,
President Patton has a unique place in
the American pulpit. And that he knows
how to tell others how to do it and' how
not to do it, a brilliant article which he
has published on the subject has attested
to all who have had the good fortune to
read it.
DAVIDSON COLLEGE.
The present Indications are that the
fall session will be marked by a large attendance.
and thut not onlv will all the
campus and dormitory rooms, including
those of the new "Georgia" dormitory, be
occupied, but that again it will be necessary
to put a number of students in private
homes in the town. Earlier in the
season it was feared that the "stiffness"
of the new entrance requirement rules
would exclude so many that the number
of matriculates in the Freshman class
would be seriously reduced, but while
these requirements have no doubt kept
some from undertaking to enter college,
the list of new men promises to be quite
large.
