An Old Friend.
IN MEMORI AM.
riuui (I UCUI clliu uap|J> UMUU3 III Lit'Aiugton,
Va., from the sweet companionship
of kindred and friends, from the
busy activities of a useful life, Miss
Mary Davidson passed, on the morning
of July 10, to her bright eternal home,
to the companionship of her Lord and
all saints, to that high service for which
her life here was but the preparation
and anticipation.
Although she had passed ' the birthday
of the limitation," the three score years
and ten, old age had never come to her;
in mind and body and heart she had
kept to an astonishing degree the vigor,
alertness and spring of youth, so that we
who loved her?nay, we who love her
today?must brush away the tear drops,
and with brave, bright smiles give her
joy that in God's great mercyfshe has
gone from the unworn vigor of earthly
life, to the immortal youth of Christ's
redeemed ones in heaven.
May God make it possible for us all
so to realize what He has done for our
dear one that we will rejoice with her!
