great pleasure to bear testimony to the
fidelity and efficiency of Mr. Bourne as a
member of this body, able and alert as
a presbyter, painstaking and accurate as
stated clerk, he has uniformly added to
the ease and pleasure of the conduct of
the business of this court. The building
in which we are now convened and the
church whose hospitality we now enjoy,
together with the church building in
South Macon are in themselves, to a very
large degree, monuments of his untiring
energy and unselfish labors within our
bounds.
Resolved second, It Is with great reluctance
that we dismiss him to the
North Alabama Presbytery, and sever a
relation which has been to us so profitable
and pleasant. In doing so, however,
we congratulate the brethren of
North Alabama Presbytery most heartily,

most worthy in every way of their confidence
and affectionate regard."
