many friends of his golden wedding, was
a liappy and memorable occasion.
Mr. Bondurant was a disciple of Christ
all his life, and a ruling elder of the
Presbyterian Church for forty years, intelligent,
devout, zealous. His life of
more than three-score years and ten
was marked by fidelity to every obligation
and by constant and affectionate devotion
to his familv. tn whom hia Inno
was the house-band, and he the husband,
the father and the head. He died as he
had hoped, in the harness, managing
his business affairs and in the active service
of home and church and community.

He is survived by his wife, three sons,
* Mr. A. L. Bondurant, professor of Latin
of the University of Mississippi; Mr. S.
R. Bondurant, of Buckingham County,
and Mr. George P. Bondurant, Esq., and
three daughters. Miss Fannie Bondurant,
of Buckingham; Mrs. W. G. Harrison, of
Birmingham, and Mrs. Clifford L. Hare,
wife of professor of Chemistry in the
Alabama Polytechnic Institute.
By his sons he was borne to his interment
in the cemetery of New Providence
Church, Rockbridge County,
Va., where he had been at school when

the wife, who has blessed his life for
more than fifty golden years. He has
left a name and memory that are a precious
inheritance to his children.
