During his long life he had many sore
afflictions, yet he bore all with that calm
and patient fortitude which the true
Christian alone can exhibit, and which
preaches so powerfully to all who witness
it. He was ever the preacher's friend. {
Would to God there were more of them
in all of our churches.
He was a gentle, loving father, a kind
husband, and a faithful frionH Ho i =
survived by three sons and two daugh- |
ters. How cheering the thought to sorrowing
friends that we will meet him
again where there is no more sorrow, nor
grief, nor parting.
"Hark! the golden harps are ringing,
Sounds unearthly fill his ear;
Millions now in Heaven singing,
Greet his joyful entrance there."

A LITTLE LAMB GONE TO THE
GREAT SHEPHERD. j
On a beautiful Sabbath morning, March
13, Mary, the little daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Hugh Baldwin, of Henderson, Texas,
passed out of this life, aged five weeks.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev.
A. L. Whitfield, pastor of the Presbyterian
Church.
"He shall gather the lambs with His
arms and carry them unto His bosom."
