The fourth annual meeting of the Woman's
Home and Foreign Missionary Un- !
ion of Harmony Presbytery was held at
Mayesville, S. C., April 17-19, 1910.
On Sunday, April 17, there were three |

sionary sermon morning and evening by
Rev. E. E. Gillespie, of Yorkville, S. C.,
and an address in the afternoon by Capt.
W. C. Davis, of Manning.
The first business meeting was held
Monday morning. Twenty-two delegates
were present, representing thirteen
churches. The address of welcome by j
Mrs. R. A. Chandler, of the local society >
was responded to for the Union by Mrs. j
D. A. Stuckey, of Bishopville. On Monday
afternoon Rev. C. Fred Hancocke, of
China, addressed the Union on Foreign ;
Missions. Rev. G. G. Mayes, of Green- j
ville, spoke in the evening on Home Mis- '
sions. Amorg the other interesting feat- |
ures of the program were the following \
papers:
"Our Mountain Work," by Miss Julia
Ervin.
"Colored Evangelization," by Mrs. W. '
J. McKay.
"The Use of Literature," by Miss Lillie j
Ervin.
The secretary of literature had an ex- .
cellent exhibit of Home and Foreign Mis- !
sionary literature. Another exhibit of j
interest was a missionary display from j
China sent by Miss Wilkinson.
A delightful reception was tendered the
visitors Monday evening at the home of !
Mr. H. C. Bland.
Tuesday evening Rev. Yosif Benjamin, j
of Persia, gave an interesting talk on
"The Women of Persia."
At the closing business meeting, resolutions
were adopted expressing sincere
thanks to the people of Mayesville, for
many kindnesses shown to the pastor of !
the church for help rendered and to the

so much to the meetings.
Miss Lillie Ervin was elected to represent
the Union at the Missionary Conference
at Montreal.
Bisliopville was selected as the next
place of meeting.
The following officers were elected for
the year:
